Manuel Chavajay: Xojowi ja qa tee ruachulew (Mother Earth Dances) is the artist’s first institutional solo exhibition, featuring paintings, ceramics, and performance remnants that explore the pollution of Guatemala’s Lake Atitlán and Tz’utujil Maya understandings of land, memory, and the cosmos. The works honor ancestral knowledge while confronting environmental and historical change.
