As Maker-in-Residence at Craft Contemporary, Jackie Amézquita invites visitors into her process of transforming soil gathered across the U.S. into hand-formed sculptures. Combining earth with masa, cacao, spring water, and copal, then freezing and baking it, Amézquita explores ancestral knowledge, memory, and natural cycles while inviting audiences to participate in the evolving work.
