Lydia Azout: Reflections…now is the artist's fourth solo exhibition with Dot Fiftyone Gallery, coinciding with the release of her monographic book chronicling five decades of her practice. The exhibition features new works including stainless steel sculptures, photographic installations printed on aluminum and enhanced with gold paint, and a video installation. Azout's practice explores the intersection of geometry, nature, and spirituality, transforming industrial materials into structures that balance fragility and monumentality. As a central figure in Colombian and Latin American modernism, she draws from pre-Hispanic cosmologies and sacred landscapes to develop a neo-totemic sculptural practice. The exhibition presents works conceived as dynamic elements within an organic cycle, reaffirming her enduring influence on contemporary sculpture.
