*LOOMSTATE*, by the Chicago artist-run industrial weaving studio The Weaving Mill, takes its name from fabric just off the loom, its warp and weft newly set but not yet finished. Cloth appears with the tools, actions and objects that gather around making it, from subtle to gross movements. The show frames weaving as both a line and a loop, an ending that is also a beginning.
