Listening All Night To The Rain presents a focused U.S. iteration of John Akomfrah’s multi-channel film work first shown at the British Pavilion of the Venice Biennale. Centered on Canto VI, the installation traces histories of decolonization in Africa and Asia alongside diasporic experience in Britain. Through layered sound and image, the work connects independence movements and women’s rights histories to enduring legacies of migration, empire, and memory.
