León Birbragher Vinkel’s photographs anchor *Life Is a Barranquilla Carnival*, a survey of Colombia’s largest festival drawn from more than 30 years of his images. Shown with original costumes, video and music, the pictures follow the Carnival from the Guacherna parade through the Battle of Flowers and Great Masquerades’ Parade to Joselito’s Burial, exploring Caribbean identity and its life in Miami’s diaspora.
