Kaigani Haida and Mexican American artist Kimberly Fulton Orozco presents a solo exhibition at Open Source Gallery (Sept 5-Oct 11, 2026) that orchestrates belonging through beauty-making rituals refuting external ideas of Indigenous authenticity. Drawing on Haida storytelling, Mexican masking, and poetry, she uses color, form, and sound in layered, luminous abstractions addressing cultural disruption, loss of language, and connection across generations.
