An installation of new paintings by contemporary artist Kent Monkman, whose practice explores historic European art and narratives from an Indigenous perspective. Monkman takes inspiration from the Frick's Vermeer painting Officer and Laughing Girl to probe how artworks of that era represented the effects of global trade and colonization.
