Galerie Buchholz's Songs of New York follows Jutta Koether from mid-1990s works after her move from Cologne to New York—self-displacement as working method. Paintings from 1995 onward stage extremes of scale, gesture, and color beside writing that migrated from her SPEX column into the canvas, channeling Blake's Songs of Innocence and of Experience across the page and the picture plane.
