Jessica Deane Rosner’s intricate drawings, made with ink, gouache, graphite, and colored pencil, develop slowly through dense linear patterns and geometric structures. Using drafting tools and freehand marks, she builds layered compositions where slight imperfections remain visible. Several bodies of work explore grids, colored grounds, and architectural forms. Her ongoing Tally series uses repeated marks to honor lives lost through historical or environmental events, turning careful drawing into an act of remembrance.
