Jacob Fenton’s Life is his second solo exhibition in Los Angeles and his first with Brewer Martin. The Los Angeles painter (b. 1999) works from digital and media source imagery, rendering subjects in atmospheric oil paint that blurs figural and contextual cues. His paintings probe memory, constructed identity, and how images circulate in a post-truth, internet-shaped culture.
