Laure Mary’s "It All Begins When It Ends" is a body of paintings made in response to surviving domestic violence, each work marking a step in her healing. Surreal, dreamlike interiors feature cratered blue moons, shooting stars and spectral figures that evoke a mind detached from the body. Updating the Vanitas still-life tradition, the work explores trauma, fractured identity and resilience.
