Sherin Guirguis’ Into the Lake of Fire presents monoprints inspired by Indigenous Egyptian language revitalization and ancestral memory. Drawing on research into Egyptian archives and heritage objects, the works combine symbolic patterns, historic pigments, and layered printmaking to explore cultural reclamation, colonial histories, and the enduring presence of ancient knowledge.
