now that i look back it was all falling apart but the pieces were all there presents a body of work by Michael Rikio Ming Hee Ho that examines memory, identity, and belonging through layered imagery and text. Rooted in Hawai‘i’s creole culture, the works combine collaged photographs, language, and trompe-l’oeil painted forms to reflect on inherited habits, cultural performance, and the fragile construction of selfhood shaped by collective memory.
