Libations is Hayv Kahraman’s third solo exhibition with Vielmetter Los Angeles. The exhibition presents a new body of paintings shaped by personal experience of loss, displacement, and ecological disaster. Drawing on ritual, mysticism, and ancestral knowledge, the works depict female figures engaged in symbolic acts within liminal spaces. Through material experimentation and recurring motifs, Kahraman considers imagination and the metaphysical as responses to rupture and transformation.
