Zoé Blue M.: Hard Boiled at Jeffrey Deitch immerses viewers in a takkyu onsen—a fictional table tennis bathhouse merging sport, ritual, and femininity. Inspired by Japanese bathhouse culture and her brother’s ping pong club, the exhibition explores communal spaces as sites of personal and collective identity. Through paintings and installations, M. reclaims the portrayal of women in bathing scenes, inviting reflection on agency, transformation, and the fluid boundaries of self.
