Hand of Venus presents new work by Lesley Bodzy reclaiming female sexuality from centuries of male-centric art history. Transfers of the Venus of Urbino's hand—drawn from Giorgione, Titian, Manet, and Modigliani—are overlaid with alcohol ink and acrylic on polycarbonate, reframing the woman as active participant rather than passive object. Also on view are bold sculptures in iridescent color and abstract expressionist paintings that convey emotional freedom without confrontation. The exhibition explores the ambiguities surrounding female representation, asking the viewer to reconsider the perspectives left behind by patriarchal modes of being and thought.
