Haegue Yang’s Star-Crossed Rendezvous at MOCA pairs two large installations: Sol LeWitt Upside Down and Star-Crossed Rendezvous after Yun. Venetian blinds and kinetic light structures answer Sol LeWitt’s cubes and the music of Korean composer Isang Yun. Themes of asymmetry, doubling, sensory choreography, and cross-disciplinary homage structure the U.S. presentation linking MOCA with the Los Angeles Philharmonic.
