Greetings at PARTICIPANT INC revisits Lovett/Codagnone’s early 1990s photographic works, which staged S/M signifiers within suburban and public settings to question boundaries between private desire and public space. Engaging the politics of visibility amid the AIDS crisis, their images challenged cultural assimilation, probing power, intimacy, and communal structures while echoing the urgency of contemporaneous activist collectives.
