Angela China: Girl in the Garden features a single 16-foot-long painting, After the Rain (extended version), less than two feet tall. Drawing on a road trip, Vonnegut, Voltaire, and Steiner school teachings, the work reflects care, cultivation, and reflection. Through layers of scraping and building, China transforms the horizon into a vibrant, flowerless landscape, inviting viewers to sense the earth, engage with time, and inhabit the space of personal and creative growth.
