Geoffrey Holder: Black Magic is the first museum survey of the visual art of Holder, celebrated for his work in dance, theater and film. Over 60 paintings, drawings, collages and sculptures, many never shown publicly, are arranged in five sections from Portraits to Figure Studies. Biblical allegories, remembered portraits and luminous still lifes in saturated color reframe his art as the foundation of his creative life.
