*Garden Apartment*, guest-curated by Rudi Szilvásy, turns the brick basement Catacombs Gallery into a lived-in room. Named for the affectionate term for a basement unit, it treats artworks like furniture or roommates: a painting as the centerpiece above a mantel, tile and ceramic pieces that recall a bathroom. Nine artists make the case for the basement as an intimate sanctuary.
