Silverlens presents Galleon Trade, an exhibition inspired by the historic Manila Galleon route linking the Philippines, Mexico, and California. This early globalization network carried goods, ideas, and cultural aesthetics shaped by colonization and displacement. Featuring artists from key points on the route, the works use materials and imagery tied to trade or explore resourcefulness through found objects. California serves as a focal point connecting Chicano and Filipino American communities in a shared dialogue.
