Tamo Jugeli’s paintings begin at the margins rather than the center, with gestures that move inward and suggest compositions extending beyond the canvas. Working directly in oil without preparatory studies, the New York–based Georgian artist creates layered abstractions marked by drips, washes, and shifting textures. The works register the passage of time through accumulated marks while remaining open, fluid, and responsive to the act of painting itself.
From 5 to 7 is an exhibition that spans two galleries, Karma and Polina Berlin Gallery.
