Mariko Makino’s *Outside* presents large-scale outdoor sculptures combining neon with galvanized fencing, inspired by the power lines, farm equipment, and utility structures surrounding her upstate New York studio. Activated differently by day and night, the works explore energy, light, and interconnected systems while inviting nature and changing conditions to become collaborators.
