The Hispanic Society presents Esperanza Cortés: Embroidered Allegories, the third exhibition in its Arte en el Alto Manhattan series. Inspired by the museum’s collection, Cortés weaves personal stories with reflections on cultural heritage and colonialism. Drawing from works by Velázquez and Goya, metalwork, and mantones de Manila, the exhibition explores histories of triumph, tragedy, and identity.
