Claire Oliver Gallery presents New Works, a solo exhibition by Bahamian interdisciplinary artist Gio Swaby, on view January 8–March 6, 2027 at the gallery's Harlem townhouse. Swaby is celebrated for textile-based portraiture—thread 'line drawings' stitched on fabric and vibrant quilted silhouettes—which she has described as love letters to Black women, celebrating personal style, vulnerability, strength, and individuality while exploring intersections of Blackness and womanhood.
