Tiwani Contemporary presents The Song I Once Knew, the debut solo exhibition by Ugonna Hosten. Rooted in drawing, her multidisciplinary practice unfolds episodic narratives of a heroine—her alter-ego—on a pilgrimage of self-discovery, ritual and transformation, accompanied by the divine figure Ebezina. Combining collage, assemblage and printmaking, Hosten draws from Jung, Fanny Brewster, philosophy, myth and Igbo spirituality to map psycho-spiritual awakening.
