This exhibition features Palme’s small-scale abstract paintings and new looping-brushstroke monochromes. Working in oil on unbleached linen, she builds dense surfaces through layering, scraping, and accumulated paint. Quoting earlier compositions and art-historical tropes, Palme approaches painting with sustained skepticism, testing how to make a painting while questioning the medium’s inherited conventions.
