Rafael Ferrer's first solo exhibition at Henrique Faria New York, on view May 13 through July 17, 2026, centers on one of his most ambitious works from the Blackboard Installations series. Empire's Mirror (2012) comprises 95 slate and wood blackboards stretching five by twenty feet, across which Ferrer layers gouache, acrylic, pencil, collage, and handwritten text in a dense palimpsest of marks, symbols, and fragments.
