Elika Hedayat’s "Whispers: Women, Animals and Chimeras" retells Persian mythology from its margins. Drawing on the "Shahnameh" (Book of Kings), feminist thought, and speculative fiction, her works cast women, animals, and hybrid creatures as protagonists whose bodies merge and transform. Paintings from her ongoing "Haroum" series imagine a legendary city of learned women, exploring power, identity, and coexistence with the natural world.
