A posthumously unearthed suite of collages by Dorothy Hood (1918–2000), the Texas-born modernist who spent two decades in Mexico City among Orozco, Carrington, and Varo. Planetary bodies, Aztec deities, skulls, and one sly automobile hood commingle in psychologically revealing works of memento mori, shown alongside the 1975 painting Pedernal. Opening reception Thursday, July 16, 6pm at Fernberger.
