Of Water, Dust, and Light features new work by Danae Mattes, who uses clay, water, and minerals to create layered wall pieces shaped by gravity, evaporation, and time. Her process captures the movement of natural forces, forming textured surfaces that echo landscapes, weather patterns, and celestial formations. Mattes’ work reflects a deep engagement with the earth, inviting viewers to consider the relationship between material, memory, and environmental change.
