"Crossing the River" presents new works by Los Angeles-based artist Aaron Morse that investigate his approach to color and composition, motif and narrative structure. Most are 2026 works on paper in acrylic, watercolor and ink, several of them titled as color variants, such as "Wilderness (Color Variant)" and "Web of Life (Color Variant)". They hang alongside a 2025 collage on paper, "Fossil Record", and a six-foot acrylic-on-canvas painting, "Cosmic Ecology".
