CONJURE surveys Janet Taylor Pickett’s fabric constructions from 1993–2022, exploring memory, ecology, and resilience. Inspired by Sam Gilliam and artists like Bearden and Matisse, she turned to fabric after personal loss, transforming grief into renewal through quilting. Her vibrant, sculptural works weave memory and healing, celebrating the power of color, craft, and self-discovery as acts of remembrance and transformation.
