Charles Arnoldi’s String Theory at Michael Kohn Gallery presents paintings made between 2016 and 2019. He draws fluid lines with his arm, close to automatic drawing, and uses the canvas edge as a limit. Layers build until shapes appear and are filled with color. The title points to those lines, not to physics. Gesture, structure, and spontaneous form stay in a careful balance.
