*Americas* marks Cevdet Erek’s first solo exhibition in New York, bringing together site-specific sonic works developed across Mexico City, Chicago, San Francisco, São Paulo, and The Hague with a new commission for SculptureCenter. Expanding sculpture through sound, rhythm, and architectural intervention, Erek traces the material and historical pulses of place. The exhibition connects his interest in thrash music and sound art to a spatially responsive practice of repetition, measurement, and reconfiguration.
