Installation view, Ramon Saturnino: bulgaria;mexicali, Frankfurt Ordorica, Los Angeles, 2026
Ramon Saturnino’s *bulgaria;mexicali*, his first US exhibition, pairs one sculpture with four photographs. *Compressor*, thirty-seven stacked drywall walls, matches the perimeter of a billiard hall his great-grandfather owned in Oxnard and nearly fills the gallery. The photographs, taken in his Sonoran border hometown of San Luis Río Colorado, record barren desert, fraying fences, and disintegration.
