Founded in 2019 by brothers Cordy and Ethan Ryman, Art Cake is a 13,000-square-foot creative space in New York City dedicated to artistic production, events, and interdisciplinary collaboration. Housed in a renovated 1920s industrial building formerly occupied by a patisserie and paint distribution factory, the space retains historic architectural elements alongside contemporary interventions by architects Joe Smith and Dylan Sauer. Its 4,200-square-foot event venue supports exhibitions, installations, performances, film and photo production, fashion, lectures, and social gatherings, with a central skylight and preserved steel columns reinforcing the building’s relationship between industrial history and contemporary creative use.
