*Color and Ten Thousand Things* presents new and recent abstract paintings by Xu Hongming that explore the spiritual, philosophical, and material dimensions of traditional Chinese art. Working with atmospheric color on silk, Xu approaches space as a vehicle for qi, emotion, memory, and the infinite. Drawing on Northern Song landscapes, Dunhuang murals, Modernism, and the Qin Mountains, his practice bridges Chinese aesthetic traditions and contemporary abstraction.
