Slip surveys Beverly Semmes’s work from 1991 to today, linking performance, ceramic vessels, and fabric sculpture through a logic of enactment and transformation. From metallic robes and oversized Cloud Hats to clay totems and reworked luxury slippers, bodies appear displaced, theatrical, and symbolic. Repeating motifs trace desire, labor, and commodity culture, revealing how performance infiltrates objects, space, and self.
