Merve Ceylan Before the Mountain

Before the Mountain asks whether new artistic movements can still emerge in a globalized, dispersed art world where proximity and shared context are no longer guaranteed. Rather than defining a new genre, the exhibition brings together artists with distinct practices to occupy a shared space. Their coexistence highlights independence, partial connection, and the uncertainty of how collective forms might arise before any movement or direction becomes fixed.
