A wide-ranging survey of American vernacular amusement, gathering game boards, toss targets, circus poster maquettes, photo-props, sideshow banners, and carved figures made for boardwalks, midways, carnivals, and kitchen tables. Following the gallery's 2006 exhibition Dreamland, Amuse revisits Coney Island and the traveling fair as sources of fantasy, spectacle, and escape, distilling entertainment into vivid fields of color, silhouettes, and nostalgia.
