Altered State: Religion & Psychedelics in California examines the intersection of psychedelics and religious practice in the state’s cultural history. Developed under the guidance of faculty collaborators Sam Shonkoff and Devin Zuber, the exhibition moves beyond the 1967 Summer of Love narrative to consider broader historical, cultural, and material contexts shaping these experiences.
