Coinciding with its 40th anniversary, The Noguchi Museum presents Against Time, a reimagining of its original second-floor installation. Curated by Matthew Kirsch, the exhibition draws from Noguchi’s 1987 catalogue and features over 60 works spanning six decades. Sculptures in wood, stone, and metal appear alongside rarely shown models and set designs, reflecting Noguchi’s evolving practice and spatial experimentation from the 1920s to the 1980s.
