Adam Sorensen's Thieves presents recent paintings that contemplate the sublime landscape. Drawing on the Hudson River School, nineteenth-century European Romanticism, Japanese ukiyo-e woodcuts, and painters of the American West, the works stage expansive natural scenes in a vivid, stylized language. The show explores the divinity of nature and the growing impermanence of both the natural and human worlds.
