Absorption brings together Nivia Hernandez, Daniel Anthony Vasquez, and Kristen Jensen, organized by M贸nica Palma. Hernandez works with sea sponges and loofahs as images of immigrant assimilation, Vasquez shows unfired clay shoes and a vase that darken and slowly break down as they take in water, and Jensen pairs clay basins resting on towel pillows with veil-like drawings and rubbings. The show explores touch, vulnerability, and change over time.
