Kim Garcia’s "a trace is not a map to you", her first solo show with the gallery, fills the space with luminous resin friezes, ornaments and freestanding screens and gates that encase family photographs, heirloom chains and historical clippings. Prompted by caring for her father, whose dementia draws him back toward the Philippines, the work explores memory, diaspora and the search for home.
