A Hard & Soft Poem For The Night presents new paintings by Syd Krochmalny developed after time spent in Berlin’s club scene. Working in viscous layers of oil, he creates fields where vegetal, animal, geometric, and erotic forms intersect. The works move between figuration and abstraction, recording collective rhythms, bodily intensity, and desire. In contrast to fast digital circulation, the paintings insist on weight, duration, and the physical presence of paint.
