Installation view, Magalie Guérin: a hand a hand, Sikkema Malloy Jenkins, New York, 2026
Magalie Guérin’s *a hand a hand* brings together paintings and ceramic sculptures, shown together in the US for the first time. Rich color, raised edges, tactile textures and amorphous shapes recur across both, the paintings built through revisions and returns, the sculptures through stacking and balancing. Taking its title from Gertrude Stein’s *Tender Buttons*, the show explores ambiguity, discovery and touch.
